Parts of our houses Part II

Hello everyone!!!
In the previous post we worked with object in our houses, but it is time to prepare the parts of the house.

After watching the video , they have to complete this image with the objects and parts of the house that we already know ! After that, they can decorate the house as much as they want and then, we will correct it and we will see which one is the winner !
We will practise with this activity listening skills ( with the song) and also writting skills (With the parts of the house )

To make it easier, some words that can be difficult to guess, can be written in the corner but disorganised.

Hi There!

It's well known that children love games, such as crosswords, it is a easy way to motivate them and also it's easy to create one. In this lesson, I have prepared a crossword with Hotpotatoes about children's pets.
It's really important to know how to write them, if not, they won't pass the activity, so in this lesson we are going to practise writting skills and also listening because before the activity we are going to watch a song with lyrics about animals.

OBJETS IN OUR OUR HOUSES

Hello there!!!

Today I have prepared a hotpotatoes activity "JCloze".
There are a lot of descriptions and they have to guess which word is behind the gap. Some words are more difficult than others , So I would say that this activity is guided to 5º or 6º of Primary Education

In this activity is needed a computer at least, we can organize small groups or a big group.

LISTENING AND SPEAKING: SING ALOUD

Hi folks! At the moment we are learning in the school name of animals, that is why in this activity we are going to practise the listening and speaking because first of all they have to fill in the gaps the name os the animal they are listening and then singing aloud.
The name of the song we are going to sing is " Old Mcdonald" One of the most famous songs for kids.

After filling the gaps, we will correct the activity and then it's time to sing. We will do small groups of children and each group has to represent the song, I will give them some extra time to prepare it.

Reading a description about animals

Today we are going to practise an activity about pets and their owners. First of all we have to read some short description and then answer the questions. Pay attention to each one!!!

Hello, My name is Jane. I am 4 years old. My favourite animal is the cat. I can´t have one because my mother doesn't like them.

Hello, my name is Mark and I have a dog. I am really happy with him and he is also my best friend. He is called Tobby.

My name is Anna. My family loves animals. We have a Cat, a small dog and also a parrot. The parrot is able to speak! That is why is my favourite animal in the world!!

"My name is Nicolas. My favourite animal in the world is the lion. At home I have a Hamster and also a rabbit, they are really small and both of them are white. My sister loves them!"

Now it's time to answer some questions about the reading above :

To Finish this activity, they have to create their own descriptions  following the examples. After that they have to read aloud in front of their classmates what they have done.

Thanks to this activity they can improve reading and writing skills and also in the second part, speaking skills !
They have to loose their embarrasment speaking in english !!!
