Hi folks! At the moment we are learning in the school name of animals, that is why in this activity we are going to practise the listening and speaking because first of all they have to fill in the gaps the name os the animal they are listening and then singing aloud.
The name of the song we are going to sing is " Old Mcdonald" One of the most famous songs for kids.
Old MacDonald had a _______,
Ee i ee i oh!
And on his farm he had some _______,

With a cluck-cluck here,
And a cluck-cluck there
Here a cluck, there a cluck,
Everywhere a cluck-cluck
Old MacDonald had a farm
Ee i ee i oh!
Old MacDonald had a farm,

With a moo-moo here,
And a moo-moo there

After filling the gaps, we will correct the activity and then it's time to sing. We will do small groups of children and each group has to represent the song, I will give them some extra time to prepare it.
It is well known that songs are always successful
Hello Blanca, this activity is a success since the children like the songs a lot. I think it's a good idea to start the subject of animals. It's a song I knew in Spanish and the children will know how to identify it right away and they will not have a problem learning it in English. It is a good way to use it for listening and at the same time introductory to the subject of animals. That's my point of view. Greetings.
